Simply Fried Noodle

In days when I am so lazy to cook (which is almost everyday🙈), simple yet yummy recipe is what I look for. And noodle is one of my favorite and kids too (they are the most important ones). So I make sure to always have few packets of noodles keep at home. Yesterday was one of those days. So fried noodle, there you were! 


– a packet of egg noodles (200gr). Soaked in hot water for 3-5 minutes. Drained.

– 2 eggs.

– 3 cloves garlic. Diced.

– 3 shallots. Diced.

– 2 stalks of spring onion. chopped.

– Soy sauce.

– Oyster sauce (optional).

– Oil for stir frying. 

– Salt and pepper. 


First, scrambled eggs in a little bit of oil. Set aside. In the same pan, heat up 2tbsp of oil. Add onion and garlic, stir until fragrant. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt n pepper, egg and the spring onion, stir until the sauce make a bubbly appearance then add noodle. Stir well until all the sauce mix well with the noodle. Enjoy. 



Easy Chicken Steak with Gravy


When I think about steak, the first thing comes to mind is gravy. For me personally, I am fine with or without gravy, but husband and kids will definitely ask, “Where is the gravy?”

Yeah gravy, you make me think twice before cooking steak. First, making gravy takes time, second, I always have not enough ingredients, third, the taste does not turn out the way I want it to be.

However, with this chicken steak, the gravy is as easy as making white sauce (because it is white sauce!). I never thought that white sauce would make a perfect gravy for steak.

So as easy as making white sauce, this chicken steak recipe from Ree Drummond from Pioneer women show is simply easy yet delicious.


~ 1 1/2 cup milk

~ 2 eggs

~ 2 cups all purpose flour

~ 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast ( Cut as desired size)

~ salt and pepper

– Oil for frying

Gravy: ~ 1/3 cup all purpose flour

~ 3-4 cups milk

~ salt and pepper


Seasoned chicken with salt and pepper, set aside. Mix milk and eggs in a shallow dish. Flour in another one. Dip chicken in flour, then egg mixture then flour again. so it will be, flour – egg – flour. Until all chicken covered.

Fried the chicken in the heated oil.

I do not use deep frying method because this is one way of me saving oil and also with this I dont think we really need deep frying. Because we can turn the chicken when one side is brown enough.

For the gravy: after frying all the chicken, take out the left over oil until around two tablespoons left. Sprinkle the flour evenly. Mix the flour with the oil until turn brown. Add milk. Keep mixing until the sauce thick enough, add salt and pepper at the same time. If the sauce if not smooth enough, pour it over a strainer in a bowl. Stir with a spoon.

Serve the chicken steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables of your choice. Pour the gravy on the top. Enjoy.


No Churn Corn Ice Cream

Rain and Ice cream, do they match? well of course yes!

Ingredients :  ~ 1 ear of corn. 

                          ~ 200 ml coconut cream, shake well.

                          ~ 100 g condensed milk. Or less as desire.

Methods : Boil the corn for 5-7 minutes. Drain. Set aside to cool down. Cut corn of the cob and put in the blender with other two ingredients. Puree until smooth,   pour into container and freeze for about 8 hours or overnight or until set. Let the ice cream out for few minutes before serving. Enjoy. 


Asian Style Grilled Salmon

Hi am still alive! Been to a lot of thougths lately. But I am not going to talk about that now. I just want to share the simply delicious recipe I found on 


I promise it is so easy and yummy.


Salmon fillet.
Ingredients: ~ 2 salmon fillet

                      ~  1 tsp ginger, finely grated

                     ~ 1 clove garlic, crushed.

                    ~ 1 tbsp soy sauce

                    ~ 2 tbsp oyster sauce

                    ~ 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce.

Method: Marinated the fish with all the sauces for 30 minutes. Grilled on the skillet pan 2-4 minutes on each side until beautifully caramelised. Serve with favorite vegetables and rice.

Easy Yellow Chicken Curry

When it comes to curry, my first thought was that it will be so complicated. I must not have all ingredients or it will take too long. And also if I do not cook it properly, it will not taste good. 

However, with this recipe I found on the internet, I will make sure (at least for me) that this chicken curry will taste good. I do not have all ingredients from the recipe that I got so I just put whatever I have.

Ingredients :

1 chicken cut 12. 

200ml coconut cream. Mix with one cup of water.

1 thumb-sized piece of galangal.

5 lime leaves.

2 bay leaves.

Cardamon pods (optional).

Star-anise (optional).

3 shallots. diced.

3 table spoons oil.

About 1 liter of water. depending on the type of chicken. some chicken will take a long time to soften.

Paste : 

10 shallots.

5 cloves garlic.

1 thumb-sized ginger.

4 candlenuts.

4cm fresh turmeric (you can substitute this with one teaspoon ground turmeric).

1 tablespoon ground corriander.

5 fresh red chilies or as desired.

salt for seasoning.


Lightly grilled the chicken on non stick pan. Turn to make sure all the side are brown. Prepare the paste while the chicken is on the heat. 

Blend all the ingredients for the paste with food processor or blender. Heat the oil in the pan and fry diced shallots, galangal, lime and bay leaves, cardamom and star anise until golden brown and smelling delicious. Add the paste, stir until the smell is really good and you can see oil coming out from the sauce.

Stir in the grilled chicken with the sauce for few minutes. Add water. When the sauce thicken and chicken is tender, pour in the coconut milk. Keep stirring gently to make sure the coconut milk does not over boiled and heated through. Serve. Enjoy.

20 Minutes Macaroni Get Away Recipe

We have been making this many times lately. as cooking time was always so tigh around here. Usually, the children will shouted “I am hungry!!”  before I am ready to cook because it is not time for dinner or lunch yet. But with children who can control their tummy? they do not even care about lunch at this time and dinner at that time. What they do know is, when they are hungry, they are hungry. And when it is lunch time or dinner time again, they might not even want to eat anymore. So when it comes to that, I always make this one, or if I am to lazy to cook anything else, I will always come back to this.

Basically, I threw everything in what I have in the fridge in here, vegies or chicken, and if I do not have anything else, Onion, tomatoes, garlic and little bit cheese is a must.

Nb: Before preparing other ingredients, the first thing to do is to boil the pasta first. Make sure to strain the pasta 3 minutes before the package instruction. Do not throw the water from the boiled pasta away.


250gr macaroni pasta, or any kind of pasta you have in your pantry would be really fine.

Half brown onion. Diced.

3 pcs gralic. Diced.

3 whole medium tomatoes. Diced.

 A handful cheddar cheese or as desired.

Any kind of vegetables, Spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, capsicum. Diced.

100gr chicken fillet. Diced.

2tbs of oil, or butter.

Brown pepper and salt for seasoning.


While the pasta is being cooked, diced all the ingredient (as stated). Pour oil or butter in the pan until its hot and throw the diced onion and garlic, stir until brown. Add chicken and diced tomatoes and stir for 2 minutes then add the  water from the boiled pasta and cook until the water boiled and thicken. Then add pepper and salt. Add vegetables. cook until the vegetable almost tender (depens on what kind of vegies, spinach will do in less than 3 minutes). Finally add pasta and keep stirring so the sauce will get evenly and the pasta will cooked well. Mixed the cheese, stir for a minutes. Serve. Enjoy. And Relax.

Peanut Butter


I am a really big fan of peanuts. And can eat them all day long but surely I have other things to do instead of just eating peanuts. And peanut butter?? What can I say, am craving for it every time it see bread. But last time I ate bread with peanut butter was three years ago. Uh-uh.. I said it right, three years ago, when I was in Australia. Why don’t I just buy it then? Hmm…good question. But I don’t know why I didn’t just buy it. Maybe the cost is expensive? I don’t know, haven’t checked them yet.maybe because it contains preservatives? Yup! Surely that is one reason. But the thing is, I think it’s because a very long time ago I searched the recipe, and I found out it was so easy to make with so few ingredients. If you like it, you can just make it with one ingredient. Peanuts!not really one, one kind, but a lot of them 🙂

To have a better looking result, you can make it with no skin on. So you have to buy the one with no skin on or buy the one with the skin on but you have to take the skin off yourself. But they say buy the in shell in much better because they are fresher. I only have peanuts with skin on, it still turned out tasty tho.IMG_0090.JPG


Here is the recipe:

3 cups skin on roasted peanut butter. ( with no skin is ok too)
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon honey (or as desired)

Methods :
To roast peanuts ; put the peanut on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, depending on your oven, make sure to check them in between 5 minutes because they get burn easily.

To make the butter ; while the peanuts are still hot, put them in the food processor or a blender and blend till you reach the desired consistency or till it get really smooth. Stop after 1 minute to scrape down the side of the bowl. Place in an airtight container. Serve with your food of choice.

Nb: I don’t put oil because peanuts already contain oil.
